Practice Concentration
Mr. Wuerker's practice focuses on commercial litigation but has also included a more general representation of companies involved in mortgage banking, finance, real estate development, government contracts and information technology. He has tried approximately 30 cases to verdict (both bench trials and jury trials), has disposed of hundreds of cases prior to trial as a result of summary disposition or settlement and has extensive experience acting as an outside general counsel for local corporations, which has included providing them with advice on matters such as formation, governance, capitalization, financing, licensing, mergers and acquisitions, dispositions, human resources and real estate transactions.
Prior Experience
Jack Wuerker has significant experience and comfort with complex financial issues as a result of both litigation experience and experience as lead counsel in mergers, acquisitions and other complex transactions, skills and experiences that have caused him to be selected to handle expert witnesses in cases involving difficult economic issues, business valuation issues (including valuation of entire companies as well as interests in companies) and value of services issues.
He also has extensive mediation experience, having acted as the mediator for more than 100 matters over the past five years and used mediators to assist in the resolution of numerous cases.
