The Firm provides comprehensive Alternative Dispute Resolution services, including arbitration and mediation. Our arbitration and mediation services are provided principally through attorneys Alan Kent and Peter Healey.
Alan Kent has more than 25 years' experience as a construction, commercial and international arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association for which he is a Large/Complex Case Roster designee and a Master Construction Arbitrator
Peter Healey is an Alternative Dispute Resolution specialist who has served as sole arbitrator in numerous commercial, employment and labor cases. He is a member of the Commercial Panel of the American Arbitration Association, the International Institute for Conflict Prevention & Resolution, a Fellow of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers and is "AV" rated by Martindale-Hubbell. He is also certified to serve as a court appointed mediator.
Among the cases for which the Firm has provided arbitration services are:
- $60 million in claims regarding the design and construction of the world's largest radio telescope, a case that required nine weeks of hearings;
- over $100 million in malpractice claims against a "Big Four" accounting firm;
- a variety of large and complex commercial, construction and employment and labor disputes.
The firm also accepts ADR appointments from bar association presidents and private practice attorneys.
